Q- Are these range of tutorials good for the Mac UB version of LW, and is there heavy reliance on plugins?? A-These tuts are perfectly good to go for all versions of LW, PC, Mac, 32, 64... Some parts do cover using certain plugins to do certain things, namely plgIK, and NodeItemMotion... WHilst these plugs arent available for all versions of LW, they are used as alternate ways to perform some tasks, making some things quicker, or easier. However absolutely everything can be done using plain ol, out the box LW, and all such things are demonstrated fully, with the vast majority of the tutorial time being devoted to just native LightWave.
Q- With LW 10 and up, will these tutorials still be of any use, as they are made in V9.6? A- Oh yes! LW had quite a number of changes in 9.6 to rigging and constraints, and these same systems continue on in later versions, 10, 11. Even in these more recent versions, the RHR tutorials are still the ONLY range of tutorials to fully cover all the rigging tools and workflows available.
